Thoughts

Well, I feel like it is about time to add a few words on here. Not that I have been busy or anything, but really, really lazy lets say. Gosh where do I begin?? Most stuff I have thought about is old news by now. One thing I would like to mention is that no way in hell do I care about seeing the Michael Jackson movie. Big whoop.

Of course Peoria, IL. is way less sophisticated than Phoenix, AZ. We have budget problems and are cutting a few police officers from the streets. We need more police, not less, and a States Attorney who has balls to prosecute the criminals. Just last night at about 11:15 PM or so, I heard 15-20 shots. Turn on the good ol' police scanner and there was some guy shot in the back on the next street over. Ahh kinda reminds me of the good old Maryvale area in West Phoenix. But I hear that area is not as bad as it used to be. There are more and more shootings, robberies, muggings everyday here in Peoria. People need to make a stand and stop moving north (Just like in Phoenix). And We need more Police and how about a couple of Police Helicopters (Phoenix has like 5 or 6 I think).

My own budget problems have caused me to cut cable, so now I only have the local stations. Not bad as I thought and I really do not miss the channels I used to watch with cable. Listen to more Radio, listen to the police scanner more, more time on the computer (actually that can get very old), and more time to do the things that need to be done around the house.

So far I am happy that My Dallas Cowboys have seemed to found their groove and are playing well. We shall see what happens the rest of the season.

Obama is a worthless piece of shit by the way...So is the town of Peoria and the State of Illinois. Will I ever feel a part of this area? will I ever come to respect Illinois? Probably not.

I actually Miss Arizona. Something I thought I would never do. I miss the desert sunsets, the many places to visit, the Friends, the Family. I miss the many, many mountains. What I don't miss is the heat!! Maybe if the earth where to tilt on is axis, the Arizona climate could change to a more cooler environment. Why the hell has spell check stopped working, yet again!!!!

I think I have said enough for now. Chow and sorry if there are any misspellings.

Checking in

OK. I have not had the interest or the time to post a new blog as of late, but thought I would write a few words today. There is much to talk about these days such as health care, Obama's socialist agenda, Glenn Beck...and so on, and so on..

If I ever get in the "mood" again I'll post something. Don't hold your breath though.

My Independence Day

My 4th of July actually turned out pretty good. After picking my Wife up from work at around 2:00 AM, we stopped by Mcdonalds to get something to eat, then headed home. Ate and watched TV for a while, then Lisa posted some more listings for Ebay, then we went to sleep about 8:00 or 8:30 AM.

We woke up about 5:30PM and Lisa suggested we go out to eat. We decided that we wanted steak, so Lisa called Logan's Roadhouse to see if there was a wait being the 4th of July and all. There was not a wait, so we dressed, I walked the dog, then we left to go eat. On the way, we decided that after we ate, we would head over to East Peoria Walmart and watch the firework show on the River.

We arrived at Logan's and did not have to wait as we were seated promptly. Lisa ordered an 8 ounce sirloin steak and huge shrimp. I ordered the Logan which was a 10 ounce sirloin steak and also ordered a side of huge shrimp. Salad and bread came, we ate, it was delicious. After a while, the waitress comes up to us and says that our dinner is going to be free as the cooks did not get the order and they have a huge order now they need to take care of before ours. Fine with us as it was 8:00PM and the fireworks did not start until about 9:00PM or after. Our dinner finally arrived, we ate some of it, but decided to get a box to take the rest home. Lisa did leave like a $25 dollar tip to the waitress BTW.

Now off to Walmart across the street. Cops were everywhere directing traffic and getting ready to shut down the bridge for the fireworks. I did not think we would find a place to park in the Walmart parking lot, but finally saw someone pulling out, only to find two older teen girls standing in the parking place. Lisa did not like that idea and got to confront them about not being able to control a public parking space. Lisa won the battle and the girls moved on. We parked, went into Walmart to get a few things, then I brought them back to the car, loaded them in, then walked back to Lisa who was waiting near Walmart, then we walked around Walmart to the riverfront, found a good spot on the well mowed grass near the river and sat down. Tons of people were there and also food stands along with the local news. Then the firework barge came into view and everyone stood and sang the National Anthem. Then it was firework time as the street lights were turned off and a countdown to the start of the first rockets to be shot off began. It was a pretty impressive display and it what also a cool night weather wise. Best 4th of July here in Peoria by far.

So after the great firework display was over, we went back into Walmart to get a few more things and let the traffic get out of the way before returning home.

We arrived home, I unloaded all the groceries we accumulated and took then into the house where Lisa put them away.

More Ebay stuff to do; Lisa wrote the listings and I took a few pictures of some items we wanted to put up. After that we became hungry and ate the leftovers from Logan's we had brought home and watched The Dark Knight on Demand from cable. Lisa had never seen it, mainly because of Heath Ledger's death and how it was a lot like the death of her friend Craig. But Lisa said she was ready to watch it, so we did. Lisa became tired of it and went back to doing Ebay stuff. Crazy woman. I finished watching it, it was the third time I watched it.

After this and that, Lisa became tired, we watched some of the Fox and Friends program and Lisa is now asleep and I am writing this.

I managed to talk Lisa into going "driving for Bigfoot" tonight. Plan on driving up route 29 all the way to I-80, then back either the same way or a different route. My Bigfoot research mainly as of now, consists of driving down country roads late at night in hopes that a Bigfoot would come bounding across or sighted on the side of the road. Since we are going to be up near I-80, We may just drive a little further to Seneca and drive down DuPont road to see if we can run into the DuPont monster. (Google DuPont Monster to find out what that is). Plans are not laid in stone, but will write about tonight's activities (should there be anything to write about) at a later time.

Peace for now.

Much ado about nothing

Well here it is the 4th of July 2009. Don't really have plans to do anything special. Wife works tonight, but has Sat, Sun, & Monday off. Maybe we will hit the riverfront for the big fireworks display tomorrow night; word has it, it is supposed to be really big. Don't know that we will do that for sure or not as it is just a passing thought.

I kind of got the old notion to go night driving in the wee hours of the morning in hopes of catching a Bigfoot cross the road in my path. If not Bigfoot, then will most likely see either raccoons, opossums, or deer. Maybe all three..maybe all Four! Maybe more...Again--another passing thought.

Not really too much in auction dept this weekend, so more than likely that is out.

Camping is out also, but one never knows as my wife and I kinda go with the flow and if we get a hankering to do something, we do it.

Or we may do nothing at all.

Whether we do anything or not, I hope everyone who may come across this to have a Happy and safe 4th of July weekend.

Feeling kind of bored and disconnected mentally right now. Have the TV off and the police scanner going in the background. Lot of calls about people shooting off fireworks and some drunk guy crawling around in the street. Looks like the weekend is starting off to be a busy one for the police. Oh now there is a report of some lady undressing in public. Shoot did not catch where that was!

I guess the big news item today is Sarah Palin announcing her resignation as Governor of Alaska. Some of the rumors are that she is getting ready for a run for the white house, or that there is some big scandal about to come out. I hope it is not the ladder, we don't need another conservative political scandal now. We shall see what transpires regarding this story in the days to come.

Had 3 wonder dogs and a BBQ sandwich for dinner about 3 hours ago, but feeling hungry again already. Probably just drink some water and not eat anything else for tonight as is my usual routine when I get hungry this late.

Don't have much to say about North Korea firing a fourth missile. They obviously WANT the U.S. to confront them. Not certain about the future on the war front, another thing to keep an eye on.

That's about all I have to say for now. Another reminder to have a great Holiday weekend!

Michael Jackson and the "Revs"

First off I am not a MJ fan, but it is sad to see him go. Now we get to hear and see this story beat to death my the mass media...Lovely!

The reason for this blog is that I wanted to slam the good 'ol "reverends" Al and Jesse. See, they have decided to speak and show their media whore faces regarding MJ's death. I first noticed the good "reverend" Al show his ugly mug on Fox news. I'll bet Al has their number on speed dial and upon hearing about the Death of MJ, he called them and invited himself "on" to speak about MJ's death. I thought.."WTF does the good Rev. Sharpton have to do with MJ?"..I guess maybe MJ did not die like a white man should of. Whatever.

Then I wondered how long it would take for the good Rev. Jesse ("I Say..JESSE!") to have his say. I didn't wait too long.. Thanks Jesse for getting your face and voice into this also.

"Media Whores" is all these two "civil rights" people are. I think they both should loose the title of Reverends as I have never heard either speak one word about God or the Bible. I wonder if they received their "reverend" titles on the Internet or something? The only thing they do is whine and preach propaganda about how the black man has been treated. WE ALL KNOW HOW THEY HAVE BEEN TREATED. Damn! beat a dead horse why don't ya!

I wish MJ was still here and the good "reverends" would fall off the face of the earth.

RIP MJ.

I know there are smart people here

My on again, off again relationship with Peoria seems to be on the forefront of my mind tonight. Just finished reading a few blogs, blogs of mindless liberal rantings to be specific and I am sick and discussed by them. Literally. I just cannot help but to dislike the city of Peoria right now. When it comes to Peoria, I am like a bipolar schizophrenic who has gone without his meds for way too long. Maybe it is time for a lobotomy? Come to think of it, don't most liberals have one anyway? O.K. so maybe a lobotomy is not the right thing to do.

Oh well...Maybe tomorrow I will find something positive about Peoria. Hope is a most precious thing.
